Coronavirus/COVID-19 Response Information

Public access to the San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and Grover Beach courthouses is limited to matters on the calendar that day. All other business with the Court is currently being done remotely. Face coverings and social distancing are required in all San Luis Obispo County courthouses.

Divisions

The Superior Court of California, County of San Luis Obispo, is committed to meeting the public needs.

  • Civil

    Adjudication of controversies between individual parties, the redress of private rights, and hearings for child welfare cases.

    Collections provides direct assistance in order to facilitate payment of delinquent fines and fees. Fines and fees may be related to Criminal, Traffic, Family Law or Jury matters.

  • Criminal

    Family Law is an area of the law that deals with family-related issues and domestic relations.

  • Juvenile

    In California, as in all states, there is a separate court system for persons under the age of 18, who are known as minors or juveniles.

  • Probate

    Probate handles cases involving estates, trusts, guardianships, and conservatorships.

  • Traffic

    Our Traffic Division contains information to help you resolve traffic citations, interact with the court, and if or how to go to traffic school.
