Coronavirus/COVID-19 Response Information

Public access to the San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and Grover Beach courthouses is limited to matters on the calendar that day. All other business with the Court is currently being done remotely. Face coverings and social distancing are required in all San Luis Obispo County courthouses.

Guardianship is a court proceeding in which a judge gives someone who is not the parent, custody of a child, or the power to manage the child's property (called "estate"), or both.

You may obtain more information about guardianship, alternatives to guardianship, duties of a guardian, becoming a guardian and ending a guardianship.
